When Srujana contacted me about altering my original Papel Picado design for her indian/mexican wedding, I was intrigued but I had no idea that her vision would turn into this amazing burst of color and energy. It looks like this was just an amazing day filled with love and excitement.
We took our classic Papel Picado invitation design, moved some elements around and added a Ganesh to the flower at the top. It was just enough of a change to customize the invitation for their event but not enough to incur a full custom design fee. This is a great option for those of you that don’t have the budget for a full custom design but want something tailored to your event.
Thanks again Srujana & Carlos! Best Wishes!

One of my sweet brides just sent over these lovely pictures of her wedding. I always love seeing a bride’s vision come to life. If you know anything about me, you know that I just adore a piñata at a wedding. What a fun way to end the night, am I right? This bride ordered one of our printed invitations instead of the laser cut which is a really great way to get the same feel and stay within a budget.
Here are the details:
Venue: Scena, Old Port of Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Introducing our Wreath Wedding Suite from our Paper Cuts Album.
This is one of the very first designs I did for the album. I must have designed it over a year before the album debuted at NSS. And for a while, I carted it around to the wedding shows I was doing and it always got such a great response.
Other than the fact that I love the idea of an intimate outdoor wedding, I love this suite because it has the best of both worlds. There is the leafy invitation and the woodgrain laser cut. They certainly work well together but I also can see these used for separate events. The woodgrain being more masculine may work great for a rehearsal dinner (since the groom’s family is traditionally in charge of it) and the invitation would be used for the actual wedding.
I just love the versatility of the coordinating but not matching designs and I just think the woodgrain design is super modern. And if you haven’t already realized, I’m into modern.

Introducing our Bohemian Wedding Suite from our Paper Cuts Album.
In all honesty, this save the date used be attached to another suite. Then a friend of mine came over to critique my designs and felt like there was too much going on and that this design deserved it’s own suite. She was right and even though it meant more work for me (designing an entire other suite) I knew it was the best thing to do for the album. Friends are great like that aren’t they?
This suite feels a little retro to me and I’ve had customers use it for 20’s inspired events although that wasn’t really the intention of the design. I see it as a modern suite that can be used for a wide range of weddings. It don’t see it as a just one genre design. I think you could make it want you want by changing the colors & papers.

Okay kids, this is a doozy. I just love everything about this wedding. Apparently The Knot Texas did too and picked it as one of their top weddings of the year! It was such a joy to work with this bride and her mother and I am so pleased with how the final event turned out. Framing the invitation was such a nice touch for the reception and the color palette is so refreshing with the cool tones and the small pops of warmth. I could go on and on but then who would make the stationery?

This Kickstarter prize is a way to get all of your wedding goodies in one stop. You get to pick out 3 of the items above. You get 100 of each. You get to choose from 20 designs available. You get to change the colors to match your event. You get to see proofs. Whew. I’m tired from naming all the things you get with this prize.
My absolute favorite item that we are offerring as a prize for our Kickstarter campaign is this custom laser cut poster.
I get lots of requests for posters with a couple’s wedding vows and without my own laser cutter, it was something I couldn’t do for a reasonable price.
I designed this poster with a leaf motif and cut it out of ivory shimmer paper. That way, you can customize it however you like by putting whatever color paper you want behind it in the frame.
Don’t worry, if you love this and don’t want wedding vows on it, no problem! You can get this poster with any saying you like. You can have just your names & wedding date. You can have your favorite quote or a saying your mom always said as you were growing up. The possibilities are endless.
Once you pledge your support and choose this poster as your prize, you will get to choose your fonts and will receive a proof before I process the poster and mail it off to you. And yes, we do ship internationally for an additional fee.
But wait, there’s more! (I always wanted to say that) For the first 25 people, this poster is only $165.00 instead of $200.00. I don’t even know what percentage off that is but it’s a lot. So hurry up and get yours before the price goes up.
