It was so interesting celebrating both holidays. I don’t have a favorite between the two as I am not particularly religious. Christmas was like a burst of energy that was over before you knew what happened. And Hannukah was a slow, ongoing ritual of lighting the candles and opening one gift each night. It was so much fun to alternate and get to switch it up every year. Happy Hannukah.
Tonight is the first night of Hannukah so I thought I would share this sentiment with you. Growing up, my Stepfather was Jewish. My mom was raised Catholic so the compromise that was reached involved alternating holidays. So we celebrated Hannukah every other year.
