These are custom holiday cards created for a customer. She loved my Papel Picado Wedding Invitations and wanted a holiday card that was similar. She ended up going with the Save the Date design and size and we swapped out the birds for some modern snowflakes. She had her heart set on this eggplant paper that I don’t carry but she found and we were able to use. Then I designed a tangerine liner based on the dot pattern from the snowflakes and we finished them off with my mist colored envelopes.
As a designer, I tend to think that I have all the answers but sometimes a customer has a idea that sounds strange and ends up being lovely. I wasn’t sure about the eggplant paper at first, but I really think it works with the tangerine and the mist in such a fun way.
