I took a mini-break to Savannah last week with my husband. He had just gotten out of school for the summer and I had returned from The National Stationery Show in one piece and we needed a break. I have to say that the worst part about working from home is that you can always work and I tend to stress when I’m not working. So getting out of town is essential to relaxing.
We spent 2 nights in Savannah and it was super-hot. 97 each day and not a cloud in sight. We had some good food. I highly recommend Goose Feathers for breakfast, Zunzi’s for lunch, Ruan Thai Restaurant for dinner and The Distillery for good beer selection. We also got the coldest beer I’ve ever had at Six Pence Pub.
We stayed at The Inn at Ellis Square which we got a great deal on but was pretty standard and old. The location couldn’t have been better though. We toured The Mercer-Williams House and saw the exiting exhibit at the Telfair Art Museum for free.
It was just the little getaway that we needed.
